A monumental-sized bronze sculpture, “Seated Earth” symbolizes the earth in human form with strata and flora. It is full of life bursting forth from head and shoulders, arms and legs.
“Seated Earth” speaks of man’s new position on this earth of which we stem from. For the issue is not life and whether it will survive in this age of man; but, rather the new responsibility all man has in determining the quality of life on this planet as well as the range and variety of all life that will survive.
