Standing Figure
Resembles a Hindu god with its many arms. The title comes from the geological
event of a shifting landmass that ruptures the surface of the Earth's sculpture,
creating new formations. The analogy is made between the geological eruptions
and the many human events that alter our lives. Tumultuous outgrowths occur in the area of the figure's groin, heart, chest and head. These are life's challenges such as sex, birth, love and pain that constantly alter our being in shape and spirit.
